Chapter 7: Archdemon Keita

Me and Amane have a better understanding of how we feel. We learned that we both were trying to look out for one another. However, even though we reconciled, nothing remained peaceful forever. A new enemy has appeared in front of us. None other than Amane's own brother. He may be Amane's brother, but he was still a demon. Yet this one was much more than what meets the eye.

I stood where I was, staring at both Amane and his brother. They both looked at each other, remaining silent. Amane had his face down. He wouldn't look at his brother and continued to have a pained expression. His brother on the other hand looked calm, yet he smiled so much it looked sinister. The demon then spoke up 
"Awwww, what's the matter Hibaki? Not happy to see your big brother after all these years? I am hurt." he said it with such a sarcastic tone it sent a chill down my body. Then he turned towards me and looked surprised. He soon walked up to me.
"And who are you? Are you Hibaki's girlfriend? Aww Hibaki, I didn't think you had it in you." he said with such a playful tone. Normally, I would blush and yell "NO WE'RE NOT DATING!" but this wasn't the time. He seemed to be joking around a lot, but his sadistic looking smile and crude jokes kept me on guard.

"He must be pretty powerful." I thought. Somehow the demon read my mind.
"How rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself to my potential sister-in-law. I am Hibaki's older brother Keita. Remember that name well, as you'll be under my mercy soon." he said with confidence. Hearing that instantly changed my thoughts.
"He must be really powerful if he's so confident" I concluded. My faith that Amane would be able to at least fight evenly against him wavered. The demon Keita began to walk away and turned to Amane.
"I assume that I still can't convince you to join me?" he said.
"Not a chance" replied Amane. His eyes began to change to a crimson red.
"So you wanna brawl? That's fine. You've never been able to beat me in combat then, and you won't be able to now. I'll just have to beat you senseless." said Keita. As he said that, his eyes also turned crimson red, but the eyes had a cross mark on it. Both of them flew up instantly and each took a battle stance in midair.

Keita quickly dashed and charged at Amane. Amane quickly began to gather and concentrate darkness and formed his demonic hands like before and quickly slapped the demon. It seemed to work as Keita was sent in the opposite direction so fast I couldn't see him.
"Amane must have finished him off." I thought. It looked like Amane used a lot of force in his attack since Keita was sent flying off to who knows where. To my surprise, he appeared right behind Amane.
"No change at all since the last time." he said. Amane-kun was caught off guard by Keita reappearing that he had no time to react to Keita's attack. Keita punched Amane so hard that Amane was sent plummeting down to the alley. I had to run away from the impact. After the smoke cleared, I saw Amane on the ground. I ran over to him.
"Are you ok?" I asked with a concerned tone. I began to show some tears on my face. He was hurt really badly. His had eyes turned back to light green and his clothes were tattered. He looked at me and began to brush off my tears.
"Please don't cry Yukizaki. I'll be fine." said Amane-kun with a heartwarming smile. He couldn't have looked more cool to me or so nice. He got up steadily and flew back up to his brother and charged straight at him.
"Ho ho? Not done yet? Good. More punishment for you and you were just having a good time with that girlfriend of yours. I'm jealous!" said Keita in such a sadistic tone. The demon may have been crazy, but he did display a great deal of battle experience as he moved gracefully and quickly. I watched as Amane continuously used off many kinds of attacks of both demon and angelic powers, yet Keita seemed unfazed and blocked every one of them with ease. Then all of a sudden, both of them began moving incredibly fast I could barely follow their movements. I could only hear the noise of their attacks colliding and large amounts of energy flying around. Soon, they both stopped and began circling around each other.
"Not bad. However, I think I'll get a little serious. Don't blame me if I hurt you so badly you wanna die ok Hibaki?" said Keita with such a false sympathy.
"WHAT?! He wasn't even serious? He's insane!" I thought. Amane didn't seem like he could keep up with him much longer and he is still just playing with us. Amane was as shocked as I was. Then, Keita weaved his hands and a dark cocoon surrounded him. When he burst out of the cocoon, he let out a loud shriek. He looked the same as before, but half of his body was covered with darkness. Also, a large dark halo appeared on his head.
"Behold my demon transformation" he said sinisterly. 

Amane began to charge at him and kept slashing with his demon claws, but Keita continued to block each hit with ease and didn't seem to be phased at all. Amane eventually got tired and fell back hoping to gain distance and recover some strength. However, as soon as he did, Keita lunged forward at him and disappeared.
"ACCEL DEMON STRIKE!" I heard Keita yell. Instantly, Amane was attacked by a barrage of slash attacks from Keita so fast, that I couldn't see him. The attacks continued as I watched in horror as Amane's boyd was sent flying out in all directions everywhere.
"Is there nothing I can do but watch and let this happen. If only I could do something!" I thought. I clenched my fist and tried not to cry. Then, Keita sent Amane flying upward and then appeared on top of him. Keita's right arm was raised up as if it was a spear ready to be thrusted.
"Demonic Impaling" said Keita, as he stabbed Amane's heart. Amane screamed out in pain and slowly lost consciousness. As Keita let go, Amane fell down to the ground. He once again fell back down to where I was.
"NOOOOO!!!" I screamed loudly. I quickly caught him and did not worry about the injuries sustained in breaking his fall. I put him down gently. He looked awful. There were scars all around him body along with the giant hole where he was impaled. I couldn't control my emotions and I soon began to cry uncontrollably. I hugged him and continued to cry out. Keita flew down to where we were.
"Don't fret. His curses prevent him from dying. Though......" he said as he then pushed me away from Amane. He sent my body flying and I hit the wall. I cried out in pain and I would have fell to the ground, but Keita caught me and held me down to the ground.
"I'll make you into a demon. Then I can torture Hibaki more by having him kill his own lover." he said with a malicious laugh.

This was a first for me. The first time I was truly afraid. The demon Keita was unbelievable and too strong. Just how could we beat him?
