Chapter 5: A team that can't mesh

As of now, I have my life revolve on living and fighting with the 2 races. And I started this new life with an encounter with Ms Susu, who was disguised as an angel and was giving me death stares. I could say that it was not pleasant as what she was going to do was something I never expected, nor did I wish to know how the 2 races gets things done.

As Ms Susu and I stayed in the chemistry room, she locked the door. Most logically to prevent me from escaping. I was very nervous.
"If she is an angel, then it means she should have some powers" I thought to myself. I was anxious being face to face with an enemy I have no idea on what powers they have. I needed to contact Amane who was waiting for me. I decided to shout as a last resort to get his attention. Then I thought. 
"Wait why couldn't he take action against her if she was an angel. Doesn't he have eyes that can tell?" I decided to ask him later when this was over. Ms Susu quickly broke my thoughts by saying
"Ms Yukizaki, you overheard my conversation correct?" as she said that the expression she gave was still beyond cruel and cold. It was scary me. I couldn't allow my fear to be shown, so I answered calmly
"I don't know what you're talking about"
"Don't lie, you think it's weird that I talked to myself about stuff such as angels." as she said that, I accidentally flinched. She admitted who she was and she knew that if I reacted, I would know about her race. Having saw my expression she was undoubtedly onto me.
"So you do know about the angels and demons. I suppose that must mean you came in contact with the cursed child correct?" she said coldly.
"Amane isn't cursed! Your leader and the demon's leader put that idiotic curse, and burdened him just to solve your useless dispute!" I responded with anger.
"DON'T YOU DARE DISRESPECT LORD ESTU!" Ms Susu said with rage. "And useless dispute? This is a problem that doesn't involve you missy so back off!" Then she said with an evil smile 
"Very well, I shall punish you by turning you into an angel. I will simply corrupt your mind and body and you will be ours." I panicked hearing that and tried to find a way past Ms Susu. I slipped past her and ran for the door. I almost got through to unlock the door, but she grabbed my arm and pushed me down on the floor with her trapping me. I suddenly got embarrassed. This was a cliche scene where 2 people do something indecent and usually appears in manga. I was flustered since this became cliche fast.
"W-w-what are you going to do to me?" I asked in a flustered voice.
"Hopefully she isn't going to do what I think" I thought as I asked that question. Ms. Susu replied with her cruel grin,
"Simple. I will turn you into an angel. To do so, I'll need to prevent you from running so I can have you take some angel DNA into you. Once I do that, I can corrupt your heart and turn you from a human into an angel. And the fastest way possible is if I kiss you. That way the angel fluids will get in easier" As she said that, I instantly got riled up.
"S-s-s-s-she's gonna kiss me? NOOOO! She is gonna do something yuri to me!!!" 

Ms Susu bent down slowly and puckered up and opened my mouth, ready to exchange fluids. I couldn't break free, she was much stronger than the average adult was. Her powers as an angel were enhancing her physical body limits so I stood no chance.
"KYAAAA!" SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!" I screamed as loudly as I could. It was a last ditch effort to see if Amane could even hear me. Apparently my scream was actually loud enough to get Ms Susu to briefly stop due to the effect on her ears. She looked around and saw that nothing happened.
"Looks like your little saviour won't be here. Now be quiet and quit struggling little girl." She resumed bending down and trying to kiss me. I kept struggling trying to keep away from a mouth to mouth situation. Ms Susu's lips were almost about to make contact when suddenly the door to the chemistry room busted open and Amane quickly rushed in. Ms Susu immediately got up and took a battle stance, but Amane instantly kicked her before she could make a move. Her body flew to the end of the room. I instantly ran behind Amane. He looked much different. His wings were showing and his eyes changed. Instead of the usual light green eyes, they were a deep crimson red. It was likely his eyes of truth. He stared at Ms Susu who got up and said in a cruel tone,
"So, you're the next enemy I have to fight ehh?"
"Yes, you know me as Ms Susu, but my real name is Sukimori. You are such a pitiful cursed child. Having to drag a human into this quarrel is truly foolish. Enough talk. Now I mus-" Before she could finish, Amane punched her and kicked her again and she recoiled back near me. I ran to where Amane was again and stayed behind him. Suddenly, Amane's hands began to gather darkness.
"Is he using his powers?" I thought. My question was answered as soon as I saw that Amane-kun had concentrated all the darkness and he began to gather the energy around his hands to form claws. 
"My demon claws will end you!" said Amane. He instantly dashed over to where Ms Susu was lying and tried to finish her off. However, a spear of light instantly was thrusted into Amane's stomach. Ms Susu was waiting for Amane all along and tried to kill him. The wound she inflicted looked horrifying as it pierced his stomach whole. Amane coughed out blood.
"NOOOOO!" I shrieked with horror. My face was filled with fear and despair. Instantly, Amane, with all his effort, raised his right claw and slashed at Ms Susu. With ease, the dark claw cut off her head. With the other claw, he pulled out the spear of light that impaled him. Amane looked at the corpse of our former teacher. Her body was shimmering and fading.
"Suffer reincarnation" said Amane. As he said those last words, the corpse erupted in a bright light. When the light cleared, Ms Susu's body was gone. I stood to look in horror, and then looked at Amane again. He was sitting down near the entrance of the room. The wound from the spear was still there as I saw a small hole where he was impaled. I looked at his wings and soon saw that the demon-like wing was now larger than the angel-like wing. Amane walked over to me.
"Are you ok?" he asked. I wanted to respond yes, but on an impulse, I slapped him. I realized that I was more mad with him than relieved.
"Why? Why weren't you careful. You got hurt badly" I said trembling.
"How should I know she would do it so fast. Plus, I can just use my angel powers and heal myself. And you are one to talk about being careful. You almost got turned into an angel. You call that careful?" he replied
"Well I'm sorry for being a human who tried to help but got caught." We argued for such a long time, we were late going home.

My first experience with the races concludes with me nearly turning into an angel. On top of that me and Amane fighting. We were a team that does not work well because I was human and he was not. We were mismatched and this first encounter proves it.
